Had a home build by Parsell & Zeigler Forest, VA. The building process was professional and great...it was the after math that caused the issues. The company too FOREVER to complete the one year inspection. There is actually still an open item on the one year inspection check list 2 years after the house was built. Almost one year to date of the building completion, the main water line connector malfunctioned and flooded a brand new house with 1 foot of water. Parsell & Zeigler nor their contracted plumber took responsibility for the poor workmanship of the plumbing connection forcing the entire claim to be handled by the insurance company. If you have anything done by this contractor, hire your own independent inspector to review all completed work. I would even hire an plumber to go over all work done since that has been the biggest complaint with many residents of the Forest Edge subdivision.
If you want a house kind of slapped together, this is your builder. Expect bowed walls, doors that open and close by themselves, plumbing not properly secured inside walls and plenty of things not quite square. Speaking of plumb, this is a skill that they haven't mastered. If they learned how to use a ruler, level, square, and took more pride in their work, they may become a decent builder. As of now, I wouldn't let them build a simple shed for me. Oh, I know houses are going to have nail pops but good grief! You must have used popping nails! Too bad I can't do a punch list now but if I could, I would want you to have another contractor to do it!
