I'm not a Roanoke local but I visit friends there about 4-5 times a year and Eli's is always on my list to visit. Great beer sections (and wine but I stick with beer). The staff is super helpful, they helped me locate a super rare beer that they would order for me--even though I don't live in the area. Eli's is a true gem.
Fantastic customer service! I called Heather there looking for a specific beer and although she didn't see one in stock, she gave me other ideas of where I could find it and also offered to email me when she received more of it from the distributor. Shortly after hanging up with her she called me back and said she had found one in the back and kept it on hold for me until I was able to get over there. Go check out these guys if you haven't already!
Nice little store in the downtown market street area. A wide range of wines, beers and other beverages.
Eli's has been my favorite thing about living downtown! Scott's a fantastic dude who I love talking beer with and they always have phenomenal offerings on draft for growler fills. We're moving on to NYC, and I can only hope to find such a warm, friendly, knowledgeable, and inventory-rich beer purveyor up there. Thanks guys!
