I used to always go to carmike because of the excellent service and quality, but ever since the place has changed to AMC, for whatever reason, it seems to have gone in the dumps. Everything from service to prices to overall experience seems to have gone to the pits and I will never go back. It sucks because now I have to take trips up to Valley View to go to Regal, but it is definitely worth the trip to avoid this awful establishment.
Great alternate choice to Valley View Grande. They have many more discounts and specials, which gives you the option to see movies at a much more reasonable rate on Tuesdays, for example. If you're going for a Saturday date night, then Valley View is probably the way to go. But for bargain movies on the big screen, you can't beat this place
I knew the movie was going to be dark after researching the 3D quality before I decided to watch in the theater. For whatever reason the overhead lights were left on the entire movie. They were low but still very distracting with an already dark film. I mentioned it to the management yet the lights remained on. The only thing I can think is that either someone just forgot to dim the lights OR they remain on for safety reasons? I've never noticed overhead lights bring on before.
I haven't been to this theater for a long while and didn't know it had been sold. I did notice the changes since my last visit. Before I would have only given a 2 star rating, but with the changes I gave a 3. More changes would be nice, like flavoring for the popcorn and friendlier staff. All in all, no way a five star, but an ok theater.
I came last night after planning my entire evening around seeing Blade Runner in 3D , after about a 30 minute delayed start was told that the 3D was not working and was issued a refund as well as a free movie pass which I was very pleased with. I came back today and watched this amazing film (must see in 3D!!).
Keystone adjustment of the theater's projector was way off. Speakers were quieter then the tv at my house and seemed to be popping.
