I put an upper and mid toolbox that was on sale on layaway. I had one payment left and that Sunday before I got paid I got an email saying my layaway had been canceled due to availability. I called corporate and they said the manager of the store canceled it and there was nothing they could do. I tried calling 3 times and could never get a hold of the store manager I just stayed on hold for 40 minutes. I did get a refund but the point us i got them when they were in sale, and they canceled it the weed I was going to pick it up. A month and a half of patiently being excited just to have the rug pulled out from under my feet. I'm pretty upset with sears. I will probably stop shopping there.
After all of that the day they were supposed to deliver and install the washer and dryer the Sears installation crew showed up and didn't bring the hoses and steam kit that we'd purchased that was needed for installation so they hooked it up without these parts so we can't use some of the features. They told us that the store would ship the parts to us and tried to convince us that we could then install it the rest of the way on our own until we finally just said no and they said they'd come back and install it when the parts were delivered. Parts never showed up. I called the store and they never pick up the phone. Finally after weeks they pick up and they tell me that the crew will have to bring the parts that they won't ship them and that they'd call and schedule an appointment. Call never came, crew never came back to finish the install, can't reach anyone on the phone.
I've been trying to call them for three weeks now to get someone to schedule another appointment and no one ever picks up the phone. It rings for a specified amount of time and then it hangs up on you. I've called the corporate line and they say they can't help and that I'll have to call the store. Asked if they could connect me with the store and they said the only number they had was the same one I was calling. You would think buying a set of $1600 each washer and dryers would get you a higher level of service than this but you'd be wrong. I'm going to have to drive 45 minutes to return to this store to ever get anything else out of them.
Very clean and well organized! Has a very friendly staff that are always available to answer any questions or concerns I might have. Love it!!
Salesman was not knowledgeable about any products we asked about but that didn't stop him from making stuff up to try to sell to us. We did our own independent research and then bought a washer/dryer set that was shockingly cheaper at Sears than anywhere else. He tried to shove the "protection" plan down our throats until I finally stopped being nice about telling him no. It took him over half an hour to ring us up and let us pay, he seemingly has no idea how to use their computer system and had to keep having managers come over to help out. After we had paid and left he called us and told us we'd have to come back because he'd rang us up incorrectly so we did and it took him another 20 minutes to get it right.
I needed a belt for my clothes dryer so I called the store number and requested the parts department. I was sent to a national hub that told me the part was in the Valley View store. Once I got there (on my lunch break) they spent 15 minutes looking at part numbers and told me they did not have it. If I could have called the parts counter directly, I would not have wasted my lunch break. Seems like logic would dictate you can call the person who can look at the part to say if they have it. I will not use them again.
Very poor service. Came in looking for a basic bed frame, first there were no sales associates in sight to assist. Then found one sales associate which simply directed us back to where we had just come from and stated to just "wait" for someone to come around. Then another associate finally came and advised us that the price of the bed frame was going to be $80.00 vs $60.00 when comparing it to a second bed frame we were considering. Not only was the bedframe $90.00 (not advised of this until the purchase was made), but associate #50377 stated his computer showed that the item was in stock and we would be able to pick it up from merchandise pick-up located downstairs. When getting to merchandise pick-up downstairs, they advised the item we just purchased is not even in stock, needs to be ordered. Worst customer service I've experienced. Will NOT be shopping here anymore.
