Despite being a hardware salvage and renovation shop, it almost has the feel of a museum... Except you can buy the exhibits. If you're working on an old house or just want to antique a room or two, this place is a must see gem. Don't be shy about asking questions or asking them to keep an eye out for something and call you if they get one. These folks breathe salvage and live to see their stuff in good homes and they're happy to help.
So worth the trip. Needed a piece of wrought iron fencing and found a unique piece at a great price. Found a few other items also. Great place to wonder around without any pressure to purchase.
Wonderful place to explore, especially if you are a fan of the show, which we are. Don't miss it if you are in the Roanoke VA area. Better yet, plan a trip. Bring your money and have a ball.
If you're looking for "just that thing" to complete a renovation project, don't plan to spend 10 minutes here. Plan to spend hours. Not that you can't find what you're looking for... The staff is friendly, helpful and very knowledgeable. It's just that they make you feel right at home and the place just sucks you in until you can't bear to leave.
Loved looking at all the old salvaged items and the remade pieces. Mike came in the showroom and talked with everyone individually. The staff is extremely friendly. Well worth our trip.
And the sheer variety of bits and pieces and whatsits! Your mind just goes a-go-go at the number of projects you could start... Finish... Dream of. Looking for a 5 panel door to replace the one missing in your Victorian project house that just nags at you like a bad tooth? Don't sweat it. They've only got a couple hundred of those to choose from. Bring your measurements.
Great place to browse and buy reclaimed items! It's fun to spot the items from the show. Went to both locations even met Mike and Tay.
