Must get their biscuits and gravy. They also have very good ham and the service is good. You really cannot go wrong with something you get here. I would recommend it to anyone wanted a tasty breakfast.
Quality food at a great price. Lots of vegetarian options and at least 15 side items to choose from on the veggie plate. Biscuits are exceptional--light and flavorful, exactly as Southern biscuits should be. They focus on foods that are sometimes forgotten at other places--example, the lima beans and corn--probably the best I've ever eaten and did not taste canned or over processed. The atmosphere takes you back in time and so does the food--it's just good, honest southern staples done well. Coffee is also great--made stronger than some restaurants and the smell of coffee when you walk in is nice. Highly recommended this place for food and price!
The Roanoker is a "go to" for all the right reasons. Large parking lot, and take out.
Love the Roanoker! Good selection of fresh "home cooked food" always. Modest price and fast friendly service. Breakfast is available, with satisfying menu that pleases.
We stopped in for Lunch on a Sunday. They were busy but seated the two of us promptly. Service was good and friendly. Food was good. We want to return to try their breakfast.
Nice comfort food. Went there for a group lunch and we were well taken care of. Sound is mute in there so we had easy time hearing our own conversations but not those of other tables.
