The food was amazing and our server was very sweet and thorough. My husband and I had chicken parmesan with linguini pasta and the marinara was wonderfully fresh and bright. The garlic knots are a must before the main course which includes a salad. I was so full we didn't have dessert but we plan to return with just that in mind. Wonderful atmosphere and fresh quality food. Great place!
Our waitress was absolutely delightful. She provided a summary of popular dishes and suggested the specialty of the day. The staff was attentive, courteous, and friendly. Our group was a party of 3. We ordered different entrees so as to sample each dish. The food was so good, it was hard to choose a favorite. Lastly, The dessert selection is amazing and may be the only reason to visit Sal’s Italian restaurant.
Going to other Italian restaurants I had low hopes for the corner store Sal's. This place was freaking awesome. The food was stellar to say the least, but Abby, our waitress was by far the most awesome. If I'm ever in town , I will go there no doubt. Pleasantly surprised . Keep up the good work
Best Italian spot in all of Roanoke County! Our second visit (after 1 year of searching for quality Italian food) was on my birthday. There was an issue with my husbands plate and our waitress was young and nervous. So the manager came over and apologized repeatedly and took over the table. He turned out to be one of the owners son's. VERY nice man! We are from the north so it was so nice to meet another from there. We talked and ate like family. Like we knew each other prior to that day. That to me is what makes a great Italian restaurant, next to the sauce and meatballs! If you want a great overall experience or catered food you KNOW will taste amazing, this is the place! Thank you again for my free birthday desert, we left stuffed!
The service was timely and the server friendly and knowledgeable. The specials all sounded good which made it difficult to decide so we all got a different one and shared. They were all delicious. We enjoy this restaurant often and are never disappointed.
