Love this place. It's a great restaurant. Ramen nights, burger night, tapas night and live music in the evenings. It's a place were you can really tell the owners and management truly care about their staff and their customers. The menu changes enough to keep things interesting and give their customers a lot of options.
Rudest experience in town. Me and my wife used to love having brunch here. Our last experience was one of the worst we've had in any establishment period. We usually always get lucky and get the same server. This time, was polar opposite.. Immediately, the server Abe was blunt, short and rude. We asked to order a carafe, he came back and said they didn't have enough champagne to make one.. then 10 minutes later we see another table (with a DIFFERENT server) with a carafe... OK? Ordered Bagels & Lox, he goes in the back... bluntly comes out AGAIN "we don't have it".. what else you want? Slapping the menu on the table we look and interrupts us "WE DO NOT HAVE FRENCH TOAST".. Severe attitude. Bloody Mary was disgusting. I've worked in retail, I've worked in the service industry.. you leave those things at home. He stuffed the check on our table rushing us out and of course as soon as we paid jumped in his car and left. I get it, his shift was almost over. We would have LOVED to have got another server, please don't stay for us. We didn't get to order the majority of what we ordered not because they were out, but because the server didn't want to be there. We'd have rather waited 30 minutes for the next server to arrive than get the horrible waiter we received Sunday.

Mediocre food and service, usually a good band on the weekends.
Another victim of the poor, rude, slow service here, all on the side of cold overpriced food. It was a busy Sunday morning, and as we sat down I noticed not many tables were eating. I should have run away then. My second clue to run away came when I asked for a coffee and the waiter rudely remarked he would have to make more; as if I was putting him out; sorry dude (it was still breakfast hours). I hate being nice; but after 45ish minutes of drinking their tasteless coffee I should have paid and left. I thought well at least our meal will be hot, as the kitchen is cranking meals out; wrong. My "big" tavern breakfast came out one piece/plate at a time (1 minute between each plate; like the time to walk to the kitchen and back). French toast, eggs, fruit, bacon.... what about my potatoes I asked; the annoyed waiter grunted as he returned to the kitchen for another plate of cold disappointment while I consolidated my 3 current plates so they would fit on the table. Yep it was all cold, except fruit, which was as sour as our waiter. Paid the hefty bill and that will be the last. Such a shame; prime downtown spot for a good restaurant. Hopefully this one will be gone soon to make room for something better.
