The people at the front desk were very nice. We took our dog in because she had a sist come up on her eye lid. We were told she had conjunctivitis. We were told if the medicine did't make it go away she would need to have it removed. We made a appointment for her to be groomed by the groomer and asked for a estimate to have the thing on her eye removed. When we picked up Muffy the bill was $65.00 not $40.00. I had a $5.00 of coupon. So it was $60.00. I was charged for a shot in my opinion my dog didn't need. I have always taken her to the Vet for everything she had needed. If they had told me before hand that she needed this shot I would have researched it. They put a piece of paper in front of you and tell you to sign it. I must admit I should have read the fine print but they should have told me about it. The vet called and reminded me I had signed the paper. That was a slap in my face. Oh to remove the little sist the estimate was over $500.00. I will not be returning. Moral of this story read the fine print.
When I got my first dog, I left her in the hands of this clinic for a weekend while I was out of town. My dog was very well housebroken and ALWAYS whined in case she need to go out or if someone had forgotten to take her out at her usual time. When my husband went to pick up my dog, he said she was clamoring for the door desperately trying to get outside to urniate and had pools of her own waste all over the kennel. We usually only need to take her out once in the morning and once in the evening, and she was clearly a wreck! I avoided vet-based kennels for a long time after that... I wonder if they even fed her!
Good service, good staff, reasonable prices.
Friendly vet and staff. I have going here for several years with a total of 4 dogs. One had surgery and did well. I have boarded my dogs there and they have done well. The doctor is very nice and takes time to talk. The staff has always been friendly. Taking care of my animal crew is expensive, but like all medical care, care for our animals costs money and it is the pet owner's responsibility, not the vet, to shoulder the cost.
HORRIBLE EXPERIENCE!!! The receptionist was very rude to me and insisted I get a vaccine for my cat that no other vet in VA has declared mandatory. The vet tech and receptionist rolled their eyes at me and whispered while I called my previous vet to confer and found out the vaccine wasn't even necessary! They were angry I had called a different vet for a second opinion! Horrible staff, horrible service. I will never recommend them to anyone!
