Rented from them twice in two weeks. The folks at the counter were very friendly and accommodating. One of the rentals, they accidentally charged me for gas (was supposed to be for another vehicle.) I spoke to Debbie, and she was very understanding and immediately passed the information to the city manager, Karie. They took care of the overcharge, and had it corrected the next business day. Wonderful people, great customer service, overall very good experience!
HORRIBLE! Joy who refused to give her last name, was nasty at the counter, gave us the wrong car and we when called back about the wrong car refused to assist, cussed me and then told me to call her "manager" at a phone number that is disconnected. Ended up having to call the 800 number and they were great. NEVER use National in Roanoke!
Today I checked in my national rental car today after a 7 rental. The car was marginaln; and had over 30, 000mi on it. Wiper blades needed replacing and my winter rental did not include an ice scraper.
Debbie checked in my return. When I walked up she was working on something else. No hello, no just a moment, nothing. Through the whole transaction she made no eye contact whatsoever, didn't ask how the car was and never said thank you. Unreal. In total, marginal car terrible customer service. 2/10 will not use again.
When I got snowed in, they accommodated my needs with great service.
