Black Lantern Inn is such a cute little bed and breakfast! Ron has made my husband and I feel so welcome in his lovely home. His breakfasts are top notch and he leaves delicious cookies in the room for you to enjoy! We really enjoyed our stay in Roanoke thanks to the Black Lantern Inn.
Absolutely loved my stay at the Black Lantern Inn. The room was spotless and beautiful and the bed so comfortable. It was a luxury to stay with Jayne and Chris.
Chris and Jayne are awesome hosts. They gave us great ideas for things to do, and they really went above and beyond to make sure we had a great trip. The rooms are clean, and very nice.

My stay at Black Lantern was in September '15. The room was very nice, with a large bed and the room was exceedingly clean upon arrival. However, many of the amenities were just not for me. The location is convenient and easy to find, but the house is right along a noisy, busy road and is less than a mile from the Regional hospital, causing there to be constant noise, including ambulance sirens. While the place is certainly cute, I cannot recommend it for a quick, simple stay (due to the price point), but I also cannot recommend it for a "special stay" due to the noise.
