comparing prices according to location the cost for 1 night was well worth the stay as apposed to staying at the Hilton or holiday up on the hill where there was no balconys or guarantee of window view. Here we could walk out the front door and lounge at pool or under a tree. Great Hospitality! Downside was ventilation problems. Otherwise great place!

We stayed at Colony House 11/10./17 to 11/14/17. We give it only one star, but they don't even deserve that. We were disrespected first by the desk clerk the 1st nite, when we asked for the supposedly included amenities that were not there, like a clock, an iron and ironing board, a hairdryer, some coffee, soap, toilet paper and towels. She then said, "what do you want for $45/day - why don't you go to the Hilton"! The the mgr Frank Thompson disrespected my husband by saying the hotel is not pet-friendly because of our Emotional Support Animal. We asked for no housekeeping so that our ESA cat won't bolt out and he said we should leave if they can't come in to inspect our room! But the clincher came when we found at 1am a live bedbug on our bed, a dead roach, and another live bug of some kind. We called the desk, and she offered us another room, but once you find one, they are already in other rooms as well, and it was too late to change hotels. We checked out next day, but the mgr would not refund our 4 day stay! They took off only the 3 days we did not stay, told the desk if we gave him a problem to call police because we supposedly were complaining to other patrons [wish we saw some to forewarn them] We plan to sue for harassment and mistreatment. P.S. - we are senior citizens!!!! Bottom line - DON'T STAY THERE! IT'S FILTHY!

Friendly folks, large clean rooms, reasonable prices, great location.

Nice Motor hotel that you do not see many of them anymore. Celebrating 16 years at that location. If you're looking for a really neat retro place to stay this is. It even has its own separate breakfast room that looks like something from out of the 50s or 60s. Check out the Check out the pictures of all the retro fixtures.

We recently stayed at the Colony House Motor Lodge and had a great experience. The staff was super helpful when I called to make the reservation, and they were equally helpful from check in to check out. Thank you for a nice stay. If we're ever in Roanoke again, we will stay with you!
